NorthCentral FSET Program

Serving Adams, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Portage, Oneida, Vilas, and Wood Counties, Wood County Human Services Department operates the regional NorthCentral FSET Program in partnership with CW Solutions.

About FSET

The FoodShare Employment and Training (FSET) program is a voluntary employment assistance and job training program which offers FoodShare recipients free services to build or strengthen job skills and find employment. Program participants can receive help with creating a resume, practicing interview skills and receiving job lead assistance through the FSET program. Job skills training can include financial assistance for approved job skills courses, basic education, or GED/HSED. FSET support services may include transportation, childcare, or assistance with job retention case management.

Program participants must be currently receiving FoodShare benefits to participate in FSET and any FoodShare eligible individual age 16 and older can volunteer for FSET.

How many hours per week does this take?

FSET is a voluntary, free employment and training program. Program participants choose the number of hours to devote to the program, expecting a participant will complete a minimum of 3 hours per week (or 12 hours minimum per month) to achieve identified their goals.
